Douglas Valley Golf Club – Please Read Carefully

Douglas Valley Golf Club is pleased to announce that the course will reopen tomorrow Wednesday May 13th. The course will be open to Members only on Wednesday May 13th and Thursday May 14th, please make sure that you have your Membership Card and Bag Tag with you for verification at all times, failure to produce your Membership Card on arrival will prevent Members from playing the golf course.

From Friday May 15th we are introducing a booking system for tee times, both Members and Visitors will have to book a tee time in advance and cannot simply turn up to play. On arrival both Members and Visitors will have to book in, you will be given a paper wristband which must be worn for the duration of your stay, failure to wear the wristband will result in you being asked to leave the premises, this is to safeguard members of staff who can see immediately that every player has booked in and is abiding by the rules set out by the Club, this allows staff and players to comply with social distancing guidance in these unprecedented times. Until further notice we are only allowing both Members and Visitors to play 9 holes per visit.

The course will be open to both Members and Visitors from Friday May 15th but a booking system will be in place so everyone including Members will have to book in advance, please ring the golf shop on 01257 474844 to book a tee time, tee times will be available to book from Thursday May 14th and will be every 10 minutes.

Golf England Official Statement – Government Guidance

Groupings will be allowed as follows:

Individuals can play golf on their own
Two-balls comprising of individuals from different households
At the discretion of the club, members of the same household playing in two, three and four-balls.

The Golf Course:

The course will be open from 9.00am daily
Do not touch or remove the flags
Do not sit on any benches, seats or rails
The hole cups have been turned upside down to reduce contact
The bunker rakes have been removed
If you enter a bunker please use a golf club or your foot to level the sand
At all times please keep 2m apart to comply with social distancing guidelines
Please use contactless payments whenever you can
